Masaüstü UHF RFID okuyucu, 860-960 MHz frekans aralığında çalışan RFID etiketlerini okuyabilen bir cihazdır. Genellikle USB üzerinden bilgisayara bağlanır. Bu cihazlar, varlık takibi, envanter yönetimi, erişim kontrolü gibi birçok uygulama için kullanılır. Çoğu model, EPC Gen2 gibi birden fazla protokolle uyumludur ve ISO 18000-6C gibi standartları destekler. Okuma menzili, tasarıma bağlı olarak genellikle birkaç metre olabileceği gibi bazı modellerde 2-5 metreye kadar çıkabilir.
